About the museum
The wine museum was founded in 1972 by Jeanne Brotte. It belongs to the Brotte family, who have been making wine for almost a hundred years, using methods handed down over five generations. Three generations now work on the estate, and the family owns three properties: in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Laudun and Cairanne.
The museum covers 500 m² at the entrance to the village of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, on the Sorgues side. The visit is made with an audio guide of about 45 minutes, available in nine languages, which presents the stages of production and the history of wine, among other topics. It is followed by a tasting led by the estate's sommeliers. The shop sells the family's wines and accessories such as glasses and carafes.
