Interactive hands-on exhibition for children aged 7 and over, covering 450 square metres with six stations on how Berlin can become a green, ecological city of the future.
About the museum
The Alice – Museum für Kinder is based at FEZ-Berlin in the Wuhlheide, on the second floor of the main building. Since 2002 the team has developed exhibitions for children, teenagers and families, some of which also tour as traveling exhibitions through museums in Germany and abroad. The museum sees itself as a young, creative house where touching, participating and experimenting are explicitly welcome.
In terms of content, the exhibitions take up contemporary social questions and translate them into walk-through spaces of experience. Past topics include money and stock markets, family, consumption, death and the GDR. The shows are developed in exchange with science, art and culture, as well as with children and teenagers themselves, and are accompanied by educational programs.
The target audience is children and teenagers of primary and secondary school age, together with their adult companions. Preschool children have their own day for daycare groups (Kita-Tag) with age-appropriate activities. The exhibitions change; there is no permanent main exhibition.
