About the museum
The local heritage room in Stelle was founded in 1960 by the farmer Heinrich Behr. It collects farm household implements from roughly the past 150 years, along with working tools and handicrafts from house and farm.
Also on display are old needlework, embroidery, linens and parts of traditional costume. The village's development can be followed through photographs, newspapers and newspaper clippings, supplemented by old maps and a terrain model.
Visitors can also find information on the succession of generations on most of Stelle's farms. Finds from the fields make the prehistory and early history of the region tangible. The house is looked after by the Behr family.
