About the museum
The Zierow village museum is run by Heimatverein Zierow e.V. and is located in the town's tourist information and community center. Using Zierow as an example, it traces the development of a Mecklenburg manor village, from Stone Age settlement traces to the present day.
Alongside evidence of human cultures, the exhibition also draws attention to the plants and animals of the surroundings. A special feature is the specialist library on horse breeding, which suits the village, since horses are still bred in Zierow today and equestrian sport is still practiced there.
