About the museum
The Evangelische Brüder-Unität – Herrnhut Moravian Church has its origins in Herrnhut in Upper Lusatia, where the settlement was founded in 1722. Its roots reach even further back, to 1457. From the small church grew a worldwide network of settlements, four of which are today UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
The newly designed Unity exhibition in the church hall presents this history and the present-day Moravian Church. A special focus is on the Losungen, the Bible verses "for the day" that originated in Herrnhut. The guest services also offer tours of the church hall and Gottesacker (God's Acre) as well as a participatory theater performance.
