About the museum
The museum came into being on the grounds of Ibbenbüren's former fire station. It was set up by classic-car enthusiast Manfred Jesse, who displays his collection there across two buildings.
On show are about 100 historic vehicles and plenty of accessories relating to classic mobility. The cars range from a vehicle by the US manufacturer American LaFrance and several VW Beetles and T1 buses to a Mercedes-Benz 190 SL, AWS Shopper, Triumph TR3a, MGB and a BMW E30 in rally trim. There are also motorcycles from Standard to NSU and bicycles from Gritzner to Opel.
The grounds of the Alte Feuerwache today also house event and conference rooms, some of which offer a view into the classic-car hall; vintage-car drives, rallies and events are also organised there.
