About the museum
The museum is housed in a restored half-timbered farmhouse and its outbuilding, which the Heimatverein Medicus has renovated.
On display are farm tools and household items from house and yard, as well as tools and products of regional crafts and industry. One focus is the basket-making trade and the wicker goods industry, which was economically significant in the Hanauerland east of the Rhine for over a century.
