About the museum
The Landwirtschafts- und Heimatmuseum Zappendorf is located in Müllerdorf, a district of Salzatal, below St. Petrus Church, and is run by the municipality of Salzatal.
On a large farmstead and in more than 15 exhibition rooms, the history of agriculture, housekeeping and the local area from about 1900 to 1989 is vividly presented. The concept is that of a museum to touch and experience.
Besides the permanent exhibition, the museum serves as a meeting place for all generations with events and creative working groups. A digital museum on the website describes many exhibits in detail; on site, information on the objects can be accessed via QR codes.
