About the museum
The Heimatstube Hassel opened in 1997 in the former town hall of the district. It is run by the Hassel local heritage and tourism association and is set up as a small museum of local history.
The focus is on local history and customs, as well as the area's industrial history. Among the exhibits is a historic kitchen. Visitors must register in advance; guided tours are offered by arrangement, and admission is free.
