About the museum

Behind the museum stands the “Verein zur Förderung des Immenhof-Museum,” founded on May 20, 2006. Its initiator is Mario Würz, an Immenhof fan since 1984 and in the 1990s a resident of Gut Rothensande in Malente, the estate known as Immenhof. Already in 2004 he had opened a fan shop and a fan club in Malente.

The museum is now located on the grounds of Hotel Gut Immenhof and displays posters, placards, and props from the Immenhof films of the 1950s. According to the museum’s website, admission is free; it is open on weekends and public holidays.

Around the museum there are further offerings for fans: a film tour to the original shooting locations, a fan shop, and a film prize awarded by the association. The film tour and the fan shop are run by Immenhof Company.

Getting there & parking

By car from the north via the A7 to the Bordesholm exit, then toward Plön via Ascheberg and Plön to Malente; from Eutin, take the B76 toward Plön/Kiel to the Malente exit. The walk from Malente station is about 2.6 km.
