Drawings and sculptural works created around Sonja Alhäuser's participatory banquet performance, which document it and carry it forward artistically; in Kabinett C1.
Show at Schloss Filseck on rural life as a space of experience, with the colour-intense village scenes of Karl Hurm (1930–2019) and works from the Kunsthalle collection.
About the museum
The Kunsthalle Göppingen was founded in 1989 as the Städtische Galerie Göppingen (Municipal Gallery of Göppingen) and renamed Kunsthalle Göppingen in 1999. The sign with four diagonal strokes, which recalls the sheds of the hall, was designed by Karl Duschek in 1992.
Since 2003 the house has been gradually expanded, including a library, an art education studio, an Artothek and the Salon of the Klaus Heider donation. In 2013/14 the facade received a new design, and the foyer gained a small café, a museum shop and a cloakroom.
The Kunsthalle sees itself as a place where art happens for everyone. The collection includes the Klaus Heider donation and the Helmut-Baumann-Stiftung, which awards an art prize. A second exhibition space is the Galerie im Ostflügel of Schloss Filseck.
