About the museum
The museum is located in the old village school of Wiederau. Here Gottfried Eißner was the teacher; he was the father of the later socialist and women's rights activist Clara Zetkin, who was born in the schoolhouse.
In the GDR the building was developed into the center for remembering Clara Zetkin. After reunification the museum was preserved and has since been cared for by local volunteers.
