Museum Patina
Private vehicle museum in an old Ebersbach textile factory: vintage cars, motorcycles, and toys in dusty original condition.
About the museum
The Museum Patina goes back to the collecting passion of the Ebersbach entrepreneur Markus Paschke, who gathered cars, two-wheelers, and accessories over decades. When his own parking spaces were no longer enough, he found in his hometown a long-vacant textile factory on Hauptstraße – the brick building of the former Häfele spinning mill. In 2012, the idea for the private museum arose there, which a circle of vintage car enthusiasts built together; in 2013 and 2014 the local press reported on the first openings.
The name says it all: many vehicles are deliberately not polished up but shown as they came out of the barn or garage – with rust, dents, and a thick layer of dust. On about 1,000 square meters in one hall and two building levels, there are motorcycles, mopeds, and cars of the postwar decades, plus spare parts, workshop equipment, and everyday objects. Separate departments are devoted to the history of the driving school and old toys.
Earlier, the museum was open one Sunday a month. Today it opens mainly for the annual vintage car meeting on the grounds, which in 2026 also celebrated its 15th anniversary, as well as by arrangement for private groups. A vintage car regulars' table also meets regularly in the museum pub "Rostlaube". The collection continues to grow through donations and purchases of historic vehicles and finds.
