About the museum
The fisherman's house dates from 1803 and stands in the Argonnerwäldchen on Norderney. Today it serves the Heimatverein Norderney (local heritage association) as a local history museum.
The collection documents the lives of the island's inhabitants, the working conditions of fishermen in earlier times and the development of Norderney from a fishing village to a state spa resort (Staatsbad).
