About the museum
The Schnitzerheim (carvers' hall) on Warmbadstraße was built in 1932 and extended in 1954. It houses the Stülpnerberg, which the village's carvers created between 1936 and 1938, supported by the local nativity-figure and carving association.
The installation shows, in 27 scenes with more than 100 carved figures, the life and deeds of the legendary poacher Karl Stülpner, who was buried in the cemetery of Großolbersdorf in 1841. The Schnitzerheim is one of the municipality's cultural sights, which also include the Sättlerhaus village museum and a number plate museum.
