About the museum
The local history museum is housed in Venningen’s old town hall and is run by the Venninger Heimatverein 1979 e.V. The association looks after local history, publishes the “Heimatbrief” and volunteers its time to care for the collection.
More than 300 exhibits on the village’s history are on display, along with tools once used in wine-growing and farming. A particular highlight is an original general store (Kaufmannsladen).
The building is currently being thoroughly renovated by association members and is not open to visitors.
