About the museum
The Bibliamúzeum (Bible Museum) was established in 1988 in the building of the Ráday Kollégium of the Dunamelléki Református Egyházkerület (Transdanubian Reformed Church District) in Budapest. In this form it operated until July 2011, after which the museum was redesigned.
The new exhibition, opened in 2017, seeks the answer to the question of why the Bible is important today, and why it is worth taking it in hand, passing it on and reading it. The world of the Bible is presented with original archaeological objects, copies, traditional and digital interactive tools.
The museum also welcomes visitors with guided tours, museum-education sessions and professional discussions. The admission ticket gives access to both the permanent and the temporary exhibition.
