About the museum
The Láthatatlan Kiállítás (Invisible Exhibition) has operated in Hungary since 2007 and is a member of the international Invisible Exhibition franchise system; similar exhibitions run in Prague and Warsaw. Visitors walk through completely dark spaces in small groups, accompanied by a visually impaired guide, where only touch, hearing, smell and the sense of balance provide points of orientation.
The aim of the exhibition is to bring the worlds of sighted and non-sighted people closer through positive experiences, to show what life without sight can be like, and to show how we can help visually impaired people and understand them. Alongside the programme, an invisible dinner, wine and pálinka tasting, team building and class trips can also be booked, and the exhibition can be taken to schools and offices on request.
The current venue is at Népligeti út 2 in District X. Visits take place in groups of up to eight people, starting every 15 minutes.
