About the museum
The Casa Natale di Leonardo is in Anchiano, a locality on the slopes of the Montalbano about three kilometres from the village of Vinci. The farmhouse is traditionally identified as the place where Leonardo was born in 1452, and today it is run by the Museo Leonardiano.
The visit includes the building, the surrounding landscape and a room with a video narration, which can only be reached by steps. From the village of Vinci it can be reached by car, or on foot or by bike along the Strada Verde, an unpaved track of about two kilometres.
