About the museum
The diorama was created by the Comprensorio Alpino VCO1 “Verbano Cusio”, the association that brings together hunters and nature enthusiasts of the area, under the leadership of its president Bruno Campagnoli. It was opened on 15 June 2019 together with the association’s new headquarters, set up in sheds in Via al Cotonificio in Trobaso, a hamlet of Verbania.
The structure is a large fixed setting in which dozens of specimens of Alpine wildlife are recreated in their natural habitat, with animal models and landscapes. The project has an educational and cultural purpose: the diorama is designed to introduce young people and families to the animals of the mountains of the Verbano Cusio Ossola.
