About the museum
La Masseria di Polverara is a farm with an educational farm and a museum of rural life, in the territory of Polverara, in the province of Padua. The museum holds thousands of agricultural tools and everyday implements of local rural life, in use between the late 19th and early 20th centuries; after more than twenty years of collecting, it has become one of the richest collections of its kind in the province.
In 2018 the Veneto Region recognised the collection as a museum. The farm produces vegetables, oil, wine and honey and breeds the Gallina di Polverara, a historic breed recovered from 1990 onwards by its founder, Antonio Fernando Trivellato.
The farm has been listed since 2000 in the regional register of educational farms and offers outings for schools of all levels, summer camps, cultural and food-and-wine events, and farm days for groups.
