About the museum
The Maison de Mosse is a fortified house built by the d'Avise family beside the ancient Roman road of the Gauls that ran through Runaz. At the end of the fifteenth century Jean le Jeune, lord of Runaz, converted it into a residence; its late-Gothic windows of the sixteenth century and its entrance portal are the most notable features.
The building is the seat of the Association Valdôtaine des Archives Sonores (AVAS), which runs it directly. It hosts ethnographic and historical exhibitions and the small museum “Au fil des ondes – les télécommunications en Vallée d'Aoste”, devoted to telecommunications in the Aosta Valley.
