MegaMuseo – Museo Archeologico Contemporaneo

A contemporary archaeological museum in Aosta, in the megalithic area of Saint-Martin-de-Corléans: the largest covered archaeological site in Europe.

Opening hoursAdmission €7

About the museum

The MegaMuseo stands in the Saint-Martin-de-Corléans district of Aosta and tells the story of more than six thousand years of history in an area where traces of ploughing date back to the end of the 5th millennium BC. The site spans the Copper, Bronze and Iron Ages, the Roman period, Late Antiquity and the early Middle Ages.

The museum covers about 12,000 square metres and displays more than 2,000 objects. Its key feature is the largest covered archaeological site in Europe: the 5,000 square metres of the archaeological area interact continuously with the exhibition route, which shows how the place has changed over the millennia.

The audio guide in Italian, French and English is included in the ticket and offers routes for adults, for children and a musical route.
