About the museum
The civic museum is housed in the Casa delle Culture, opened in 2007 in the Casaletto district of Laino Borgo, within the old house of the Attademo family. The same building contains the Biblioteca civica “Rosario Rubbettino” (civic library).
The sacred art section holds paintings on canvas and panel from the 17th to the 19th century, together with valuable furnishings and sacred vestments. A mineralogy section displays mineral samples, while the permanent exhibition on the Giudaica presents original historical costumes and a rich selection of photographs from the early twentieth century to the 1960s.
