About the museum
The museum tells the story of Moto Guzzi, a company founded in 1921 in Mandello del Lario, on Lake Como, and still active in the same place today. The new Museo Moto Guzzi, designed by the architect Greg Lynn, opened to the public in September 2026, on the occasion of the event Moto Guzzi GMG 2026 – The Opening.
The architecture draws on the technical, metallic language of motorcycles: forms, surfaces and finishes recall the materials and details of the models on display. The route takes visitors through more than a century of research, creativity and industrial culture, in a setting that combines industry, art, sport and design.
The collection brings together more than 160 restored examples, from the G.P., the prototype from which everything began, to contemporary models, displayed by theme areas that show the evolution of the motorcycle as well as changes in society, technology and the way mobility is experienced. The museum also houses the Archivio storico Moto Guzzi, which documents 105 years of company life through projects, photographs, drawings and documents.
From the exhibition rooms you can see the plant’s new automated assembly lines, which keeps a direct link between the factory and the museum.
