About the museum
The museum is located inside the parish church of San Vincenzo, at the far end of the left nave, and was officially opened on 22 January 1984 on the initiative of parish priest Don Aldo Hosquet. The spaces were later renovated by Don Pietro Panceri, to a design by the architect Maria Giovanna Casagrande, with the support of the diocese and the Soprintendenza per i beni culturali (heritage authority).
The collection gathers ancient objects from the rural chapels and the parish church: wooden statues, including an imposing 15th-century statue of Saint Maurice from the church of Moron, processional crosses, altar frontals, reliquaries and liturgical furnishings.
The display cases also hold a Flagellation of Christ painted on glass in 1561, a silver processional cross from Savoyard workshops of the second half of the 15th century, an embroidered chasuble cross with the Coronation of the Virgin, and a brass basin in the Flemish-Rhenish style of the 15th to 16th century. The church also houses a wooden Madonna and Child carved in the second half of the 14th century.
