About the museum
The museum “Liepājas 17.–19. gs. interjera muzejs ‘Hoijeres kundzes viesu nams’” at Kungu iela 24 opened after several extensive restoration and exhibition works. The historic building serves as a source for exploring the history of Liepāja and as a tourist attraction.
On the first floor a unique layout from the late 17th century has been restored, with interior objects from that time and from the first half of the 18th century. The second floor has rooms built in the second half of the 19th century, where the flat of the relatives of the notary Kristofs Vilhelms Stenders is furnished. The building also houses “Hoijeres krogs” (Hoijere Tavern) and “Stenderu konditoreja” (Stender Confectionery).
