About the museum
The centre was established in 2002 in the restored 19th-century small winter synagogue, built next to the great (summer) synagogue. Since 2004 a Tolerance Education Centre has operated here. In 2023, after a modernisation project, a new interactive exhibition opened; in the same year a memorial plaque was unveiled on the building.
The centre hosts chamber, choral and jazz concerts, art exhibitions and educational sessions; much attention is paid to Jewish heritage and the commemoration of the Holocaust.
