About the museum
The Wena Motor Museum grew out of the private collection of Tomasz Jurczak, who began collecting cars in the first half of the 1990s; his first vehicle was an NSU Prinz. Construction of the building in Oława began in October 2022, and the exhibition opened to visitors on 19 June 2024. The interiors, graphics and display fittings were designed by the family company Studio Reklamy WENA.
The exhibition covers about 5,500 m² on two levels and includes cars, motorcycles and bicycles, as well as aircraft, tractors and a dragster. The oldest vehicle is a Daimler from 1895. The collection also includes the last Fiat 126p ever produced, the last FSO Polonez and the ML, the smallest Polish car. Hundreds of vehicles are shown in thematic sections with multimedia.
A separate part of the museum is an exhibition on life in the times of the People's Republic of Poland, with thousands of everyday objects. It recreates the holiday resort Leszkowo Zdrój and a flat in which a Fiat 126p stood for years. Visitors can see at close range how an engine is built, how pistons and cylinders work, and how the braking systems of old cars function. For families there is an interactive playground and a simulator zone, and for schools there are lessons and mechanics workshops.
