About the museum
The Regional Museum “Kamojówka” in Suszec was established in 2007 on the basis of ethnographic collections gathered since the 1970s by the family of Fryderyk Szendera. It is run by the local Fundacja Kamojowa (Kamojowa Foundation). In 2025 the municipal culture centre celebrated the museum’s 50th anniversary at Kamojówka during the Museum Night.
On the grounds of the museum stand two buildings erected in recent times as reconstructions of 19th-century structures: a forge and an octagonal barn, built according to old plans and with traditional techniques. A third, entirely modern building collects and presents former craft workshops and various areas of farm life.
The buildings house exhibitions on old crafts as well as old farm tools and everyday objects. As part of the visit, demonstrations of crafts such as blacksmithing, pottery and weaving are organised, and during the Museum Night further old trades can be discovered.
