About the museum
The Museum of Technology and War Machines was founded in 2012 as the first private museum in Gniezno. It occupies part of the former production halls of the “Polania” shoe factory at ul. Spichrzowa.
The collection includes about twenty military vehicles: tanks, armoured personnel carriers, lorries, missile launchers and engineering equipment, including a self-propelled folding bridge on a tank chassis. Some of the exhibits served in the Polish Army until recently; others come from the armies of the former Warsaw Pact countries and from Western Europe and the United States.
The museum is free of charge on Sundays; on other days visits are possible after prior arrangement.
