Limited operations. The former seat of the museum at ul. Bukowska is closed because of organisational changes (since April 2025, with no date for reopening given). The permanent exhibition is accessible in the two campus buildings during their opening hours.

About the museum

The Museum of the Poznań University of Medical Sciences collects memorabilia connected with the history of the Poznań medical university and with the development of medicine and pharmacy. The collections come from donations by the university's departments, institutes and clinics and from private individuals. They are arranged by field – surgery, internal medicine, otolaryngology, ophthalmology, anaesthesiology and intensive care, radiology, laboratory diagnostics, gynaecology, dentistry and pharmacy – and by type of object: paintings, photographs, sculptures, documents, medals and small souvenirs.

The permanent exhibition is displayed in the open spaces of two campus buildings at the junction of Przybyszewskiego and Bukowska streets. In the Centre of Medical Biology, dentistry, internal medicine, surgery, paediatrics, radiology, ophthalmology and laboratory diagnostics are presented, among others. In the Congress and Teaching Centre one can see the history of the university, the figure of its patron Karol Marcinkowski, and collections from pharmacy, surgery and anaesthesiology.

From April 2025 the museum is undergoing organisational changes: it is changing its location and form of activity, and the former seat at ul. Bukowska is closed. The exhibitions in the university buildings were made accessible, among other occasions, during the Museum Night in 2026.
