About the museum
The Museu Casa Tonot occupies the ground floor of a house in the old town of Almenar, on the Carrer Major, formed by a single room. The building keeps its original structure, with vaults, stone pillars, mangers and stone basins.
The interior is divided into themed areas that represent different activities of rural life. Farm tools are displayed with explanations of the value and use of each piece, traditional crafts are presented with utensils, products and photographs, and a record of everyday life in the countryside is kept. Almenar’s town council includes it among its museums and promotes it with visits on the first Sunday of every month.
