About the museum
The Centro Íberos del Bajo Aragón (CIBA) is part of the Ruta de los Íberos (Iberian Route), which links Iberian-period sites and visitor centres in the Bajo Aragón. Its theme is the history of archaeological research in the area, with a permanent exhibition of some of the most important finds, restored by the Taller de Arqueología de Alcañiz (Alcañiz Archaeology Workshop).
The centre is on the first floor of the Molino Harinero Mayor in Alcañiz, a building erected in 1218 that then belonged to the Order of Calatrava. It worked as a mill until 1909, when an electricity generating plant was installed in it, and it was restored in 2005. On the same floor are the facilities of the Taller de Arqueología de Alcañiz and a space for digital art exhibitions.
The CIBA opens on the dates set each year by the calendar of the Ruta de los Íberos.
