About the museum
The museum originated from the bequest of the writer Carmen Conde to Cartagena town council: her personal archive and library, together with the furniture and decorative objects of her last home in Madrid, which she shared with her husband, the writer Antonio Oliver. The bequest was made to the council in 1995.
The living room, hall and study of that home were reconstructed in the Ramón Alonso Luzzy Cultural Centre, with nearly 600 art and ethnographic objects. The museum is run by the Patronato Carmen Conde-Antonio Oliver of Cartagena town council, which also offers a virtual tour online.
