Norrköping minns F 13

About the museum

The museum Norrköping minns F 13 is run by the F 13 Kamratförening (comrades' association) with support from Norrköping Municipality and tells the story of the air wing F 13 at Bråvalla outside Norrköping. Visitors are to get an impression of what it was like to work at the wing or to do national service there.

Planning began in 2013, and in 2014 a photo exhibition followed at Norrköping City Museum. The permanent museum was inaugurated on 6 May 2017 by the then county governor, Elisabeth Nilsson. Since then the association has received both booked visits and general visitors, and the museum continues to develop.

The museum is housed in two buildings that the comrades' association uses, building 97 and hangar 81. One of the starting points is a JA 37 Viggen aircraft. In addition to the exhibition there is a VR flight simulator in the simulator centre Bråvalla and a simulator, SUL97, in the association's clubhouse. On open museum days books and DVDs connected with aviation and the Second World War are also sold at a book flea market, and visitors can have fika.
