About the museum
The museum was started in 1990 by Albert Fransson, then headmaster of Sötåsens naturbruksgymnasium (agricultural upper secondary school). It illustrates the era of agricultural mechanisation and the transition from horse to tractor from the 1920s onwards. A major extension was completed in 2017.
The premises contain several tractors, including Grålle, Victor, Oliver, Fordson, Volvo BM and an Epa tractor, as well as equipment for soil cultivation, sowing and harvesting. Among other things, there is a self-binder, a towed threshing machine (bogsertröska), an early self-propelled thresher and a round baler. All tractors and engines are in working order, for example a Fordson Låglund with a producer-gas unit (gengasaggregat), a Chevrolet Epa from 1932 and a hot-bulb engine of the Västervik make.
