About the museum
The Gemeindemuseum Regensdorf is housed in a historic granary from 1722 on Mühlestrasse. It is a local museum documenting the history and culture of the municipality and its districts Adlikon, Regensdorf and Watt in the Furttal; according to the museum directory museums.ch, it has existed since 1977.
The exhibition spans four floors and displays objects from the Furttal, mainly from everyday farm life, as well as agricultural tools. It is complemented by a slide show about the granaries in Regensdorf, Adlikon and Watt and by a film on farming.
Under a municipal ordinance, the museum is run by a museum commission on which the municipality, the heritage protection association and the Landzunft guild are represented. Occasionally it also shows works by artists from Regensdorf and the surrounding area.
