About the museum
Forum Würth Rorschach is the museum part of the Würth Haus Rorschach, an administrative and training center of the Würth Group directly on Lake Constance. The building was designed by the Zurich firm Gigon/Guyer following an architectural competition in 2009. After the groundbreaking in November 2010 and the completion of the shell in late 2011, employees moved into the house in April 2013; the opening was celebrated on April 20, 2013.
On roughly 800 square meters of exhibition space, the forum regularly presents changing exhibitions of contemporary art. The basis is the Sammlung Würth, which comprises more than 20,000 works of modern and contemporary art, as well as a significant holding of late medieval painting and sculpture. The house is one of the Würth Group's art branches, through which the company makes art in the workplace accessible across Europe; admission is free.
Around the building lies a sculpture garden on the lakeshore with works from the Sammlung Würth, including sculptures by Niki de Saint Phalle. The offering includes a broad education program with guided tours and workshops for adults, families, schools and people with disabilities, a KunstCafé with lake views on the second floor, and an art shop.
