About the museum
Keighley Bus Museum Trust is a volunteer-run charity that preserves buses and other road passenger vehicles, with a particular interest in the West Yorkshire area around Keighley, Leeds, Bradford, Halifax and Huddersfield. It is known to have been founded in 1991.
The Trust's home is a unit at the River Technology Park on Riverside, Keighley. In February 2024 the Trust took possession of the building after years of uncertainty about its future, which secured the collection. The museum looks after nearly 130 vehicles, some owned by the Trust and some belonging to private members, and some vehicles may be away from the site at the time of a visit.
The museum is open on advertised open days, such as themed events with free admission, free bus rides, stalls and refreshments, and at other times by appointment. The Trust is run by unpaid volunteers who have other jobs, so enquiries are best made by email or text message.
