Over het museum
The Museo Valenciano de la Miel (MUVAMEL) is in Montroi, in the Ribera Alta region. It opened at the end of 2013 and came about because the town has for years hosted the Fira Valenciana de la Mel, a very successful honey fair. From the outset it received advice from the Museu Valencià d'Etnologia.
The centre, of 360 m², covers the history and evolution of beekeeping in society. It has a permanent exhibition room with stage sets, an audiovisual room, an area of interactive games, a workshop room and a shop selling beekeeping products. In the same building is the Montroi tourist office.
