About the museum

Beneath the main square of Wullersdorf lies a medieval refuge complex, which is open to visitors in the “Erzherzog Fertinant-Keller”. The brick museum opened in the entrance area of the cellar in 2005.

The exhibition is dedicated to the regional brick and its importance for the Weinviertel. It explains the craft methods and techniques of production and shows historic bricks as well as tools and equipment for brick moulding.

Visitors usually see the museum as part of a guided tour of Wullersdorf that begins at the parish church, leads through the Geschichtenhaus and ends in the cellar.
