About the museum
The villa on Horner Straße was built in 1895/96 for a Viennese summer visitor; the architect is unknown. Over the following decades it changed hands several times, and from 1917 it belonged to the Adam family for about seventy years, which is why it was also known locally as the Adam villa.
In 1987 the pop musician Falco (Hans Hölzel) bought the house and used it mainly in the summer months as a retreat, together with his mother Maria Hölzel. After his death in 1998 the furnishings remained largely unchanged.
The Falco Privatstiftung, which owns the villa today, opened it to visitors for the first time in June 2024. The guided tours lead from the living area and the kitchen through the mother's rooms and Falco's bedroom to the music studio with guitars, awards and gold records. To finish, the bar in the studio, with a view of the garden, invites guests to a glass of champagne.
