About the museum
The collector and vocational school teacher Friedrich Ehn founded Austria's first motorcycle museum in Eggenburg in 1980. The collection remained there for three decades; in 2008 the municipality, as owner of the property, decided to give up the site.
In spring 2009 a new, larger building was found in Sigmundsherberg. The Eggenburg exhibition was officially closed on 31 December 2009, the vehicles were moved, and in 2010 the second motorcycle museum opened on Kleinmeiseldorfer Straße. The founder died in 2020.
There the collection is shown with a focus on Austrian motorcycle history. Because of renovation work the museum is currently closed.
