About the museum
Bad Tatzmannsdorf looks back on around 400 years of spa tradition; a chronicle from 1620 even recommends that guests drink 16 Seidel of Sauerwasser (mineral spring water) at the springs. The Kurmuseum illustrates this development of the spa town with pictures and tangible exhibits for spa guests and locals alike. It was set up by the spa's curator, who still presents it in guided tours today.
A separate room shows the development of the village. A third focus is the "Habsburger Zimmer", dedicated to the imperial couple Franz Joseph I and Elisabeth, which contains extensive pictorial material and valuable personal belongings. The museum is complemented by a newly designed spa chronicle corner in the REDUCE Kurhaus.
