About the museum

The exhibition of historic agricultural machinery is run by the Muzeum regionu Boskovicka (Boskovice Regional Museum) on the premises at náměstí 9. května (9 May Square). The core of the collection consists of exhibits that were gathered in the 1970s of the 20th century by the Secondary Vocational School in Boskovice and used in teaching. The exhibition opened in 1998 in cooperation with this school.

The collection contains steam traction engines, tractors and stationary engines made in Czech, Moravian and foreign factories. Brands represented include Škoda, Praga, Wikov, Svoboda, Zetor and Slávia, as well as Lanz Bulldog, Fordson, Farmall and Massey Harris. The machines illustrate the period of the first mass mechanisation of agriculture. The exhibition also includes a set of period agricultural tools.

The largest exhibit is the 28-tonne steam ploughing engine. The exhibition is seasonal and mainly open at weekends and in summer.
