About the museum
Infantry bunker T-S 20 "Pláň" was built as part of the Czechoslovak border fortifications, which were constructed in 1935–1938 against the threat from Nazi Germany. It stands above the village of Chlívce in the foothills of the Jestřebí hory (Jestřebí Mountains) and is one of the largest structures between Hronov and Červený Kostelec. Its armament was to include, among other things, a 4.7 cm anti-tank gun and twin machine guns.
The bunker is being restored by the association Spolek vojenské historie T-S 20 Pláň, founded in 1996. Part of the structure has been returned to its original condition, and the remaining rooms house a museum exhibition. The nearby light fortifications (řopíky) have also been restored, in the form they had in September 1938 and in the post-war period, when the southern border was again being prepared for defence.
The exhibition commemorates Czechoslovak legionnaires, the construction of the fortifications in the foothills of the Jestřebí hory, the mobilisation of September 1938 in the Broumov region, and the resistance, including radio operator Jiří Potůček from the paratroop group SILVER A. On display are uniforms, equipment and weapons of most armies of the Second World War.
