About the museum
The Technické muzeum Liberec was founded in 2014 by a hobby association of volunteers enthusiastic about technology. It aims to show the importance of industrial production in Liberec and the surrounding area, and to guide children and young people towards technical thinking through hobby clubs and Saturday morning workshops.
The museum began as a small exhibition. In 2017 a second pavilion was added, and in each of the following two years another one followed, so that today it has four pavilions on the site of the former Liberec exhibition grounds. The exhibitions are gradually being changed and expanded. In 2022 a playground for the youngest children was created on the site, and in 2024 a climbing frame for older children was added.
