About the museum
The Käru Muuseum (Käru Heade Tegude Muuseum) operates in the community house in Käru settlement. The permanent exhibition is devoted to the history of prams and pushchairs: the display includes more than 200 vehicles from different eras and countries, among them an 18th-century English pram, prams from Central Europe, Russia and Germany, and Estonian models from the 1920s.
Guided tours also introduce daily life in the 18th and 19th centuries. Visitors can have their photos taken in costumes from different eras. In addition to tours for children and schools, the museum also rents out prams for film, theatre and photo shoots.
