About the museum
The Seljametsa Muuseum is located in the former Pustuski dairy and was created by local home researchers with the support of the local government. Its aim is to present the cultural heritage and history of the Paikuse area.
On display are tools, household objects, furniture, school books and handicrafts collected from the surroundings of the villages of Vaskrääma, Tammuru, Seljametsa, Silla and Paikuse. The museum organises workshops and tradition days, where, for example, basket weaving, cord plaiting and the making of pastlad (a traditional craft item) are demonstrated.
